Suggested reading?

In preparation for moving to Kenya I’ve started brainstorming a list of books to bring with me. Great idea, Alan, but ever since graduating and quitting both of my jobs last month I’ve had nothing to do but read! I’ve already plowed through a few books and I’m starting to endanger the book surplus I had created for Kenya.Check out a list of books I picked up in preparation for the big move:

And as you can see I’ve slashed a bunch of them already! This is why I am asking you, my humble and silent audience, to send me recommendations for books to read! You can leave a comment below or shoot me an e-mail (from the contact page). I hope to start an Amazon.com wish list soon (for both Sara and me) so that you guys can support us by buying and sending us books. As always, thanks for reading and stay tuned!

Hey lady! I’m reading Food & Politics right now and it’s great! Next is the Omnivore’s Dilemma. Garlic & Sapphires is good too. Can you tell I’m a foodie or what? :)

Food Politics by Marion Nestle? Great book, I read it a couple of years ago. I’ve wanted to read Omnivore’s Dilemma, too. I think I’ll bring that to Kenya. You may have to read this during your internship but, “Child of Mine” by Ellyn Satter is good. Also, “Intuitive Eating” by Evelyn Tribole is great. Whew… just to name a few.

The rest of the Hitchiker’s Guide “trilogy”.

Asimov’s Foundation trilogy. (If that gets you, go back & read his early robot stories, then read the 2 prequels & the first sequel to the Foundation).
